As you may know, all teaching staff are currently committed to marking and moderating all student work for year 11 and year 13. This is in place of formal examinations and is a monumental task for which no additional time has been allocated.
In order to support our teachers in this process the governors have approved an extraordinary INSET day for the purpose of moderation. On this day all students will be working at home. Their usual Monday timetable will be collapsed and they will be working on a whole school project on the theme of unity. More information will be provided to the students in tutor time.

St Francis & St Clare MAC are raising money for the Father Hudson’s Care Good Shepherd Appeal by taking part in #CaptainTom100 on Friday 30th April to Monday 3rd May 2021.
We have a team of staff across a number of schools, including St Edmund’s, running 100km, a team cycling 100km and many personal or class challenges taken on by staff and pupils in the spirit of the Captain Tom 100 campaign.
St Edmund’s is working with CAFOD to help understanding of Sustainable Development Goals and how we can further incorporate global learning and ‘Laudato Si’ into our curriculum!
Care for our common home. The earth is God’s gift to us all, full of beauty and wonder and it belongs to everyone.
