Within VI form you will receive progress check information for your child three times during the Academic year. This information will reflect on the engagement of your child in upholding our core CARE values as well as their academic progress to date.

 

The Progress Check Report consists of:
  • End of Yr 13 Target Grades are set in line with your child making or exceeding progress based on their KS4 APS score, they are agreed and set by teachers. Your child should aim to meet their target grade in all subjects by the end of the course.
  • Progress Check (PC1) Current Grades reflect the grade that your child’s subject teacher feels they are currently performing at. These grades are colour coded to identify whether your child is on track to meet their end of Year 13 target grade. It is based on the assumption that your child will continue to work as they are presently.
  • Attitude to Learning (ATL) grades reflect your child’s efforts and engagement with their learning. Grade descriptors can be found on the last page of the report.
  • Homework gradesreflect your child’s effort and engagement in their independent learning tasks set by their teachers. Grade descriptors can be found on the last page of the report.
  • CARE grades reflect on how your child is uploading our Academy CARE values of being Calm, Aspirational, Respectful and Engaged. Grade descriptors can be found on the last page of the report.
  • Attendance figures show the percentage of time your child has attended the Academy this year, to date. Statistics show that students with an attendance rate of at least 98% have better qualifications and career prospects.
  • Authorised absences show when your child has been absent from the Academy and a valid reason has been provided by the parent/carer for this absence.
  • Unauthorised absences  show when your child has been absent from the Academy and a valid reason for this absence has not been provided.
  • Lates show the number of AM or PM sessions your child has arrived late to.
