What a night! Yesterday’s Open Evening was an incredible, record-breaking success, welcoming over 1,000 visitors through our doors—our biggest turnout yet and a new record! The energy across the academy was palpable from start to finish.

We want to extend a huge thank you to all the parents, carers, and prospective students who joined us in creating such a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. Seeing the excitement and enthusiasm of the visiting Year 5 and Year 6 pupils truly made the night special for our staff and current students alike. We’ve already received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from both students and parents who attended.

Feedback from a visiting parent:

“We were so impressed by your student guides—they were polite, knowledgeable, and genuinely proud of their school. The interactive activities in the classrooms were fantastic, and every teacher we spoke to was warm and encouraging. On the way home, my child turned to me and said, ‘This is definitely where I want to go to school.’ Thank you for such a wonderful evening!”

Our Principal, Mrs Hazeldine, addressed packed audiences throughout the evening, sharing our vision, Catholic values, and what makes St Edmund’s such a nurturing community. The response to her address, and to the event as a whole, has been wonderfully encouraging.

A massive thank you must also go to our brilliant student ambassadors and guides. They were fantastic representatives of our academy—confident, welcoming, and eager to showcase their favourite subjects while guiding families around our campus.

We cannot wait to welcome our new Year 7 cohort in September 2027!
