Molly Kerin achieved her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award in year 10 and went on to recently complete her silver award while in Sixth Form. This is the first silver award achieved at St Edmunds in quite a while.

In order to complete the award Molly had to complete 4 sections; Volunteering, Physical, Skill and an Expedition.  For her physical and skill sections she completed regular walking activities and developed her photography skills.  For volunteering Molly has taken part in  Feed Our Pack events with Wolverhampton Wanderers, where she helped pack food parcels for disadvantaged families during the pandemic and lockdowns. Finally Molly completed 2 expeditions which involved 3 days of walking and 2 nights camping for each expedition. Molly had to be completely self-sufficient during this expedition carrying everything she needed in a rucksack including tent, food, clothing water and stove.  Travelling approximately 15km per day, this was a very difficult change but a very rewarding one.

Well done Molly.
