We have a vacancy for a Teacher of English.
This is a very exciting time to join St Edmund’s Catholic Academy. Our extremely popular school is situated in leafy Compton Park, adjacent to the Wolves Academy training grounds, with its wonderful open fields and sports facilities.
Excellent behaviour and student progress for all are underpinned by our CARE values (Calm – Aspirational – Respectful – Engaged) upheld by all who work or study at St Edmund’s.
Our community is wonderfully diverse, engaging and energetic. “A good school with an excellent sixth form” (Ofsted Nov 2019) we are at the forefront of both in-class and remote e-learning with a mission to ensure our students are all active citizens who will go on to do good in the world and make a difference. Our mission of “Love-Service-Forgiveness” underpins both formal teaching and the personal and spiritual development of our students.

“On Thursday 20th January both the Y7/8 and Y11/ 6th form basketball teams played against Wolverhampton Grammar School. It was another enjoyable evening of basketball with both of the teams winning. The Y7/8 basketball team won 22 – 4 and the Y11/6th form won 39 – 25. Well done to the gentlemen who played again and the season is going very well. Mr Selvey.”
In November, Henok Haile and Kacper Kolasa from Year 13 represented the school in the British Physics Olympiad. They competed against 2,300 students from 393 schools in the United Kingdom to answer questions designed to stretch and challenge the top young physicists in the country.
Every question required a different perspective to answer it and was designed to help students develop the application of knowledge skills they will need on a university science or engineering degree.
We are pleased to announce that Henok was awarded a Commendation and Kacper a Bronze II certificate. Very well done to both students for choosing to participate and achieving these results.
