St Edmund’s Year 7/8 girls had two teams competing in the City Basketball Championships, last week.

Team B improved so much as their matches progressed and this was a result of some excellent leadership and coaching from Karis Beniah in Year 10.

The A team also played extremely well and won every game. This placed them in the semi final against The Royal School. Some excellent passing and great shooting from Ginevra and Anu placed them into the final against St. Peters Collegiate School.

The girls played really well in the final and they pulled together to clinch the win.

Congratulations to all players, you were a pleasure and represented the academy really well!
