The year 8 girls netball team celebrated both league and cup success this season.

In the league competition, St Edmund’s came joint second and went through to the semi final on goal difference. They met a very strong Wolverhampton Grammar School team and were 3-1 down at half time, Wolverhampton Grammar School pulled away in the second half, eventually winning 12-4.

In the city tournament, St Edmund’s amassed an incredible 25 goals to come second in their group and qualify for the semi finals.

Their opponents in the semi finals were Smestow. However, despite a great effort, unfortunately St Edmund’s were unable to progress to the final.

Congratulations to the following players who have contributed to the success of the year 8 team – Sophie Abbott, Chaya Coleman, Monique Dhillon, Emma Esedebe, Kye-Leana Green, Cassidy Henshel, Shanice McGrowther, Esther Mey, Nyasha Mudzamiri and Sofiyah Sharrocks.
